Funding for Postgraduate Study

Students applying for the MPhil or PhD in Latin American Studies may apply for a range of scholarships to cover course fees and maintenance (or in some cases, fees only). You are advised to check the deadlines for those schemes for which you are eligible well in advance, as some fall very early in the academic year preceding the chosen date of entry. 

Students who have already embarked on the MPhil or PhD in Latin American Studies may apply for a number of grants and bursaries to cover travel costs to attend conferences, to carry out fieldwork in Latin America, or other research expenses. Colleges are also able to provide small grants for these purposes.
