How to apply

What we need from you

All enquiries and applications should be sent to the Centre Administrator (admin@latin-american.cam.ac.uk).

Applications must comprise:

  • A covering letter incorporating the dates proposed for the visit and a short statement (a maximum of one page) describing your academic plans while resident in Cambridge. This should clearly outline the reasons for wishing to spend time in Cambridge, e.g. to consult specific resources on available at the University, or to work with a particular member of staff
  • An official letter from your home university confirming that your visit to Cambridge is relevant to your course of study at that university (sent directly from that university)
  • Two academic references (sent by the referees themselves)
  • Confirmation from a member of academic staff at the University of Cambridge that they are willing to act as ‘mentor’ during the course of the visit; confirmation should be sent by that person directly to the Centre Administrator
  • Evidence that you meet the Centre’s language requirements for its students, which are available on the University’s website here.
