Centre of Latin American Studies

Brazilian Portuguese Classes

Classes in Brazilian Portuguese for MPhil and PhD students are taught by CLAS's Teaching Associate, Dr Viviane Carvalho Da Annunciação, under the aegis of the University's Language Centre. These are free for students at the Centre of Latin American Studies, with the cost covered by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Many students have degree-level Spanish or another language related to Portuguese, which means that the pace of learning is fast.

Places are limited. Please apply directly with the Language Centre: Basic or Upper Intermediate

Staff in related areas may also apply for a place in the same way.
